Grant Way

Grant came to North Carolina in the winter of 2015 by way of New Jersey. He’s been playing drums and percussion since the 6th grade, but took a hiatus from the kit after graduating college and moving to DC. After relocating down to the Charlotte area, it was at a bar in Birkdale Village one night when his passion for drums was reignited. After toying with the idea of getting back into performing, it took only one conversation with lead guitarist Rob Bocchino, a Guinness, and an impromptu rehearsal later that week to fall back in love with making music.

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

Grant’s musical influences come from such artists like Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Carbon Leaf, NEEDTOBREATHE, Matt Kearney, Ben Rector, The Beatles, The Eagles and Amos Lee. A few of Grant’s drumming influences are Carter Beauford, Ash Soan, Tony Royster Jr., Phil Collins, Steve Jordan, Steve Gadd, Eric Moore & Jo Jo Mayer.
